I have been a fan of Darren Shan ever since my seventh grade English teacher read my class Cirque Du Freak five years ago. My whole class loved it, and our teacher wouldn't tell us the name of the book so we couldn't buy it and read the ending before everyone else. After she finished reading it to us, I forgot about the books until a couple months later when I saw The Vampire's Assistant in a bookstore. I bought it and enjoyed it greatly, and my obsession with the books only grew from there. I've met Darren twice as of December 2006, and I've become a collector of Darren Shan memorabelia.
